USMNT-Haiti Nations League quarterfinal first leg moved to Miami
The U.S. Soccer Federation says Haiti's home leg will now be played at Nu Stadium in Miami on Nov. 14 due to the security situation in Haiti.
The first leg of the 2026-27 Concacaf Nations League quarterfinal between the U.S. Men's National Team and Haiti will be played at Nu Stadium in Miami, Florida on Saturday, Nov. 14, according to U.S. Soccer. The match had originally been scheduled for Sabina Park in Kingston, Jamaica.
According to ussoccer.com, the Haitian Football Federation (FHF) submitted a request to Concacaf to allow its hosted matches to be played in the country of its opponent due to the ongoing security situation in Haiti. U.S. Soccer said the arrangement applies to both national team and club competitions.
The move follows an announcement by Concacaf, the federation said. The date and kickoff time for the second leg, scheduled at TQL Stadium in Cincinnati, remain unchanged, according to U.S. Soccer. ESPN and other outlets also reported the venue change.
Haiti has repeatedly been unable to host competitive home fixtures on home soil in recent cycles because of insecurity, with 'home' matches relocated abroad. The quarterfinal is part of the ongoing Nations League, which feeds into Concacaf competition. U.S. Soccer did not announce changes to ticketing arrangements in the statement reviewed.
