Sunrise Airways to Launch New York–Cap-Haïtien Route in November
The Haitian carrier will fly twice weekly from JFK and end its Newark operations as it consolidates service.
Haitian airline Sunrise Airways announced on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, a new route connecting New York and Cap-Haïtien, according to haitilibre.com. Flights will operate between John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) in New York and Hugo Chávez International Airport (CAP) in Cap-Haïtien, launching November 16, 2026, with two weekly flights on Mondays and Thursdays.
The airline also said its operations at Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) will cease on October 20, 2026, as part of the transfer of its flights to JFK. Upon arrival in Cap-Haïtien, passengers can continue to other destinations in Haiti, including Les Cayes and Port-au-Prince, as well as other Caribbean destinations served by the airline. To mark the launch, Sunrise Airways is offering a promotion, HELLOJFK, with a 25% discount on the base fare, available from October 13 to 16, 2026, for travel between November 16 and December 15, 2026.
