About 12,000 people gathered at the Brooklyn Navy Yard on Oct. 3 and 4, 2026, for CultureCon 2026, a festival celebrating Black creativity held at the Duggal Greenhouse under the theme "Museum of Us," The Haitian Times reported. The event centered on the people behind the culture, pairing celebration with opportunities for emerging creatives to learn, network and build careers.

The lineup featured appearances from entertainment figures including Michael B. Jordan, John Legend, Olandria Carthen, Mahershala Ali, Aaron Pierre, Neicy Nash-Betts, Miles Caton, Daniel Kaluuya and New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani. Programming included a career lounge with recruiters and speed networking, a Creative Business Stage, and a small-business marketplace for Black-owned businesses, according to the outlet.

Haitian creatives were among those represented. Hair artist Kayra Theodore, a member of CultureCon's 2026 Creative Class, told The Haitian Times her Haitian identity shapes her work. Musician C!RND!E, Haitian-born and Queens-raised, described her sound as "Konpa drill" and said she felt at home spotting a Haitian food truck at the venue. Visual artist Dimithry Victor and the Flatbush restaurant Rogers Burgers were also present. C!RND!E said she hopes future editions will include Haitian-focused panels.
