Haiti to Host U.S. Nations League Match at Miami's Nu Stadium
Concacaf approves exceptional arrangement as security crisis keeps the Grenadiers from playing at home
Haiti's 'home game' against the United States in the CONCACAF Nations League will be played at Nu Stadium in Miami on Nov. 14, according to NBC6 South Florida and Caribbean Today. The match was originally scheduled for Jamaica, where Haiti has been playing its home fixtures because armed gangs controlling large parts of Port-au-Prince have made its stadium inaccessible. Concacaf announced on Thursday that its council approved an exceptional hosting arrangement for the Haitian Football Federation (FHF) due to the ongoing security situation in Haiti. Under the agreement, Haiti may play its designated home matches in Concacaf competitions in its opponents' countries rather than at Caribbean venues. The USMNT will face Haiti at Nu Stadium at 4:30 p.m. FHF President Monique André told the Miami Herald that Miami was a natural choice, citing South Florida's large Haitian community and the Grenadiers' earlier appearance at Nu Stadium this year. André said 2026 has been an extraordinary year for Haitian football, noting the team's return to the World Cup for only the second time in its history, 52 years after 1974. She urged supporters to fill the stadium 'with our colors and our flags.'
