Haiti's Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MCI), together with its partners, launched the first edition of Industry Week at the Karibe hotel, according to Le Nouvelliste. The event is held under the theme "Toward the revitalization of the Haitian industrial sector." Scheduled from October 1 to 3, 2026, the activity aims to bring together private and public investors, entrepreneurs, academics, experts and industrialists around the need for a more dynamic sector. Organizers said it is intended to analyze the challenges and difficulties the sector faces as well as its potential opportunities. Government members attended the opening, alongside guest of honor Harry Nicolas, the newspaper reported.
