Haiti's 2026 Baccalauréat Exams Set for July 13, With Over 118,000 Candidates Expected

Haiti's Ministry of National Education and Vocational Training (MENFP) has confirmed that the 2026 baccalauréat examinations will take place from July 13 to 16, 2026, according to Le Nouvelliste. A total of 118,090 candidates are expected to sit the exams nationwide, including 102,878 newly registered students in Secondaire 4. Speaking at a press conference on Friday, Education Minister Vijonet Déméro said all logistical preparations have been completed. He added that judicial authorities, the Haitian National Police and the Armed Forces have taken the necessary measures to ensure the exams proceed smoothly. The ministry did not detail specific security arrangements in the reported remarks. The baccalauréat is a key national examination in Haiti's education system, and the figures released point to a substantial cohort taking part this year.
