MIAMI — Concacaf has approved a request allowing Haiti to host the United States at Miami's NU Stadium for a Nations League quarterfinal, The Haitian Times reported Thursday, Oct. 23, 2026. The match, originally scheduled for Sabina Park in Kingston, Jamaica, will now take place Nov. 14 at 4:30 p.m. EST at Inter Miami CF's 26,700-seat venue. Concacaf, the regional governing body for the Caribbean, Central and North America, said it granted the exceptional hosting arrangement to the Haitian Football Federation (FHF) because of ongoing gang violence in Haiti. The approval permits the FHF to seek permission for home matches in an opposing team's territory, bypassing existing regulations, for as long as insecurity persists. Each proposed venue requires separate approval, agreement from the opposing association and confirmation that the stadium meets Concacaf's requirements. The decision follows a recent dispute with the Dominican Republic over facility access. Haitian fans in South Florida welcomed the news. 'I am so excited,' nurse Marie Colin told The Haitian Times, urging supporters to fill the stadium. The matchup is one of four Nations League quarterfinals; the second leg against the U.S. is set for Cincinnati. The series determines a semifinal berth and an automatic spot in the 2027 Gold Cup.
