The Provisional Electoral Council (CEP) is continuing its nationwide awareness campaign on voter registration, according to icihaiti.com. A communications team recently visited the Southern Department, focusing on markets in Camp Perrin, Cavaillon and Les Cayes.

The delegation traveled to these municipalities to inform vendors, shoppers and the general public about how to register on the electoral rolls. Using explanatory brochures and a sound truck, team members outlined the key steps of the registration process, the required documents and formalities, and the importance for every citizen to verify that their registration is valid for the upcoming general elections, the source reported.

The initiative also gave the CEP an opportunity to explain the provisions of the electoral decree of June 2, 2026, concerning voter registration, and to help citizens access essential information about the electoral process.

Through the campaign, which is taking place across the national territory, the Provisional Electoral Council says it aims to improve public understanding of electoral procedures and encourage civic participation grounded in proper information, awareness and responsibility, so the country can hold democratic, inclusive, credible and fair elections, according to icihaiti.com.
